When working, the tilt sensor will sense the tilt status of the instrument and transmit this information to the control circuit. The control circuit will control the working mode of the laser transmitter based on the feedback from the tilt sensor.

In horizontal and vertical modes, the control circuit adjusts the output of the laser transmitter to emit horizontal laser lines. The laser line will unfold in a horizontal or vertical direction parallel to the ground, used for measuring and calibrating the horizontal position.
